I have white spots on my nails. How can I get rid of them?

White spots can indicate a zinc deficiency. If you eat few animal products, for example, you may have a zinc deficiency. This can also cause other problems. A supplement with sufficient zinc can help you replenish the deficiency.

I have been experiencing a lot of hair loss lately. What could be causing this?

This may be due to a lack of iron or B vitamins in your diet. Vegans in particular tend to get too little of these vitamins and minerals from their diet. However, this may not necessarily be the cause. Stress and hormonal imbalance can also cause hair loss. Therefore, first read more about recognising an iron deficiency and a vitamin B12 deficiency.
