Borage oil is cold-pressed from the seeds of borage (Borago officinalis), a sturdy plant with blue flowers that is also known as cucumber herb.

Monk's pepper

Monk's pepper is an herb that can provide both physical and mental support. The official name of the herb is Vitex Agnus-Castus. This herb can stimulate a healthy ovulation cycle and help with irritability symptoms associated with the menopause. The herb is also known to promote fertility.

Evening primrose oil

Research has shown that evening primrose seeds provide support for discomfort before or during menstruation. Evening primrose oil is cold-pressed from the seeds of the flower.

The flower originates from Central America, where it has been used for hundreds of years for its medicinal properties. Like borage oil, evening primrose oil contains GLA. This means that evening primrose oil contributes to normal hormone balance.

Iron

Heavy bleeding during menstruation causes the body to lose iron. Iron is needed to produce new red blood cells, which are part of our blood. An iron deficiency can lead to anaemia.
