Our Pre- & Probiotics Capsules combine carefully selected prebiotic fibres with the stable, spore-forming bacterial strain Weizmannia coagulans (MTCC5856) in the patented Lactowise® formula. This strain is resistant to heat and stomach acid and reaches the gut alive.
The prebiotic fibres in this formula, including Fenumannan (a galactomannan from fenugreek) and the NatureKnit™ polyphenol fibre matrix, provide nutrients for beneficial bacteria. This creates a combination that helps maintain a balanced intestinal environment.
The formula also contains:
- Quercetin Phytosome® (Quercefit®), marshmallow root and BioPerine® – carefully selected plant extracts that complement the formula and contribute to its absorption in the body.

Why only one strain?
Our choice of one well-researched strain – Weizmannia coagulans MTCC5856 (Lactowise®) – is very deliberate. This strain is particularly stable, survives stomach acid and bile, and has a strong scientific basis. Instead of multiple strains that may counteract each other, this single formula offers targeted and reliable support. One strong strain can work more effectively than a mix of strains.

What are Prebiotics and Probiotics?
Probiotics are living microorganisms that occur naturally in your intestines and are part of your gut microbiota. Prebiotics are fibres that are not digested by your body, but serve as a food source for certain bacteria in your gut. By eating sufficient prebiotic fibres, these bacteria can develop optimally and remain active. When prebiotics and probiotics are used together, this is referred to as synbiotics: a combination in which the fibres contribute to the growth conditions for the added bacterial strains.
Other ingredients
Quercefit® Quercetin Phytosome® is a form of quercetin with improved absorption. It is often used to support the immune system and maintain a balanced response of the body to external stimuli. Marshmallow root is known for its soothing properties for the digestive tract and contributes to maintaining healthy mucous membranes in the intestines. BioPerine®, an extract of black pepper, promotes the absorption of nutrients and thus supports the action of the other ingredients in this combination.
Do you want to support your intestines during or after a course of antibiotics, in case of diarrhoea or when travelling? Then Saccharomyces boulardii (a probiotic yeast) is the best choice.
